Weight loss is the number 1 problem that we all tend to have bothering us all the time. But the thing is gaining weight doesn't prejudice anyone, it happens basically to everyone. Sometimes in a small way that we think it doesn't matter to us, but for others it hits like a train wreck which makes them feel weak and discouraged about themselves. When we gain that extra weight we start to feeling insecure about ourselves, which tends to make us eat more than normally and sulk around because of that extra weight we have packed on. I mean we all wish that we could wake up without that extra body roll, that hideous muffin top, annoying stretch marks, and the cellulite that makes us cringe when we wear shorts, skirts, or dresses; trust me, I understand. I mean we all want that beautiful flat stomach, I mean personally I do too.
But the truth is weight loss isn't the major problem, it's actually maintaining the weight that we've lost and eating a healthy diet everyday. Because we all know that eating sugary, sweet, and easy to make food, verses the better, more time preparing, greener and leafy foods for lunch or dinner. But that's not the only thing we have to worry about, it's the people we start to compare ourselves too; like the way we look at each model or celebrity or athletes that we see on TV and movies. When we start comparing ourselves to them we start to break ourselves down into self pity because of the way we look and we start to sulk around, then we tend to self-doubt that it'll get better and that we'll have a somewhat similar body like them, but once that happens we lose our self drive and motivation to lose weight. The reason is because we tend to see them and start thinking "Wow, I wish I could have that body." or that "Look at them eat that yummy sugary and sweet pastry, and not have to worry about gaining weight." But the truth is they're just like us worrying about the exact same thing as us, but better at hiding it. Not saying that we aren't but, they tend to blow it off, but secretly think the same thing in their private quarters. The other struggle that we tend to have when losing weight is self-love and dieting also doing a certain workout and keeping up with the routine. The workout part is a hard because we're all busy with school, home, and jobs, and let's be honest here, who has the time to even work out? I mean our days off all we just want to do is sleep and not do anything besides be a couch potato, am I right? Plus there's so many workouts out there which ones do we even do? But if we find that 1 workout routine to keep up with everyday then we'll be fine and feel good about ourselves. But that's just part of the struggle, the other part is dieting, because just like the workouts, there's many different types of diets to try and lose weight with. But the truth is you don't need a 1/4 cup diet to lose weight, or that you should only eat 1 leaf of lettuce and that's it nothing more; but no that's not the way to lose weight and feel good about yourself, the way is that all you have to do is reduce some of the stuff you would normally would eat. Like start avoiding pizza, potato chips, cookies, candy, and any greasy food; and start adding healthy clean food that you normally don't add or eat. The same goes for the things you drink like, soda, alcohol and wine. Instead of having those drinks start by having water, tea and hibiscus instead and you'll start seeing the difference in your body and habits. The 1 most important thing about losing weight is self-love, yes I know EVERYONE talks about it for a lot of things and you're probably thinking "Why should I have self-love in order to lose weight?" or "What difference would it make if I do or don't have it?" well the truth is that if you don;t have no self-love for yourself then what's the point of losing weight? What's the point of transforming your body into a better version of yourself while at the same time loving your body and accepting it's changes. Also if you don't have any self-love for your body then you won't really love the new and better body that you've been working on, because how would you help take care of it after you see the results you've made? You won't, and it'll go back to the way it was before, that is why you should have self-love for your body. But don't start doing working out because I say so, do it for yourself, because you love yourself and that you want to show your body who's the BOSS and that no matter what you'll take good care of your brand new body that you had created for yourself. Because right now your body is crying because it feels abandon and neglected by you, and wishing and hoping that you make a change to your life and start loving your body better. Just like a quote that I live by and love is, "Success does not come from what is done occasionally, it's what's done consistently" So get out there and stop hiding and let your inner BOSS show by making a change to your life and your body and go show it off! :) Love ST(XOXO) |
